Agent Dynamics – Leadership Workshop
The Agent Dynamics Leadership Workshop is designed to empower you with a “Leaders” level of thinking using systemized, easy to follow processes and by experiencing a series of ‘Leadership situations’. The program will give you the confidence that you are most qualified to Lead the Agency and the most prepared and skilled to lead the team. On completion of the workshop, you will have your own Leadership Manual to be able to reference all the elements of the Workshop and a resource to take back to your workplace to draw upon and modify to your own individual requirements.
In our first session we will identify what defines a leader. We will identify the warning signs of weak leadership and the simple steps and processes required to become a good leader.
Good leadership skills are simple and straightforward learnings that can be utilized by anyone. The military has been teaching people to become leaders for hundreds of years and it works. There are some in private enterprise who have made it complicated, confused and convoluted and it does not have to be.
We break down all the elements required to lead in a Real Estate Agency into an easy to follow process that you can readily evolve into your own individual style.
The Standards that are maintained by an Agency are the cornerstone of success or failure. It is the leader’s job to administer the standards and to define them to the team. Without them, we have anarchy and no requirement for a Leader.
It is imperative that we understand the difference between the standards held by the business, individual team members and by our clients.
We will show you how to establish a set of standards for the agency and how to document them for the team using our template.
Our biggest disappointments in life are often a result of our expectations not being met. We experience throughout our lives with our families, our partners and also in the workplace.
The importance of meeting expectations is rarely understood or appreciated in an agency but they are one of the pillars of a great team culture.
In this session, we will identify how Leaders define and then exceed the expectations of both the team and the clients. We work through how to identify and address issues around the expectations of the team before they develop into problems.
When conflict occurs in the workplace it needs to be identified, addressed and resolved.
Unresolved conflict can be team destroying and expensive, particularly when it involves team members and clients. We will show you the steps and processes to enable you to address conflict in a way that obtains the best outcome and reinforces your position as the Leader.
When is the right time to recognize team and individual achievement? Are the team being rewarded for excelling or for simply doing their jobs? Too much can be as bad as too little.
Our team will show you how to reward your team in the most effective way possible.
We will also show you how to deal with “Gorillas” in the team who have developed a heightened sense of entitlement and now want to have their own set of rules.
Teams break down when levels of accountability wane or are dropped. Leadership can get clunky when accountability is required with team members, particularly when performance issues need to be addressed.
By following our process, you will learn how accountability becomes a standard that the entire team understands and conforms to.
You will also become crystal clear that accountability is a two-way street where as a Leader, you will also be accountable to the rest of the team.
When you start complaining about a team members lack of standards or performance, remember one thing. “You put them on the team”.
You sourced them, you interviewed them and you offered them the job.
In this session we will identify the reasons why we sometimes employ unsuitable team members. What happened and where we got it wrong. We then work through the recruiting, interview and induction process to ensure that we maximise the opportunity for success and minimize the risk of failure. We will show you how to be an attractant to prospective team members rather than a lifeboat for those who can’t swim.
